How To Treat Receding Gums


Before you learn how to treat the receding gums, you need to know the causes that produce gum recession, gingivitis and periodontitis. Receding gums means exposing tooth roots, leaving teeth discovered.Three out of four adults suffer from some degree of gingival recession, but in most cases do not causes  pain and is not considered. Most often gum recession occur as a result of:
  • Excessive or very frequently tooth brushing
  •  Incorrect using of dental floss
  •  Use of toothpicks
  •  The appearance of cavities and tartar
  •  Bruxism or teeth clenching

Tooth sensitivity can be a first sign of gum recession. With proper care and a healthy diet, teeth can be white and without caries for a long time.To have healthy teeth you need to brush your teeth properly three times a day and toothbrush must be changed every 3 months, care of your teeth meticulously, using dental floss and mouthwash and consult your dentist 3 times per year or as needed. The treatment consist of:
  1.  dental scaling to remove plaque and tartar
  2.   removing bacteria and antibiotic pulp applications
  3. vaccination to stimulate local immunity
  4.    lemon and sage toothpaste (Lemon strengthens the gums and remove brown spots and Sage has antiseptic effect).
